In the darkness of the night
I stumbled along dazed and weary
The trees cast shadows on the ground
My eyes were sore and bleary
My mouth was dry
As I stared up at the sky
The cold pecked me like a bird
Mist in my view
But I saw a light shine through
And heard these echoing words:
'The atmosphere's unsettled tonight
The omens are not well
Welcome to the point of no return
Welcome to the Gallows Motel'
I knocked on the door
Wanting to escape the biting wind
The hinges creaked and echoed through the air
A whisper said 'Come in'
Nobody there
I heard voices, but where?
The paint was chipped on the walls
I shuddered inside
As if something inside died
As again I heard these calls:
'The atmosphere's unsettled tonight
The omens are not well
Welcome to the point of no return
Welcome to the Gallows Motel'
And so I am still here
I am trapped; I can't escape
It's like a living nightmare
From which I can't awake
Frozen forever
Still not sure how I got here
All I know is a strange sense of fear
Don't seek the light
Of the voices of the night
You'll be a prisoner if you don't stay clear
Don't be drawn in like me
Or the voices will be all you'll ever hear:
'The atmosphere's unsettled tonight
The omens are not well
Welcome to the point of no return
Welcome to the Gallows Motel
Welcome to the point of no return
Welcome to the Gallows Motel.'
